Ms Talia Bond
"Talia is a third year Griffith University student studying a double degree in Forensic Science and Criminology with a dual major in Forensic Chemistry and Biology.
With forensics being Talia’s dream since she was only nine years old, after university she hopes to be accepted into the Australian Federal Police’s Graduate Program in a forensic science role or possibly continue on to post graduate study.
Talia has been a hardworking and dedicated student during her time at Griffith University, with current membership of the Griffith University Honours College, Criminology and Criminal Justice Academic Excellence Society and Golden Key International Honours Society.
Since January, Talia has been participating in a six month study abroad program, currently studying at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom."

In Daniel’s words;
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rowe Scientific for their contribution to my ongoing research.
Your partnership has allowed me to focus on, and output high quality research in molecular electronics. Molecular electronics is a discipline in Chemistry that hopes to solve one of the greatest technological issues facing the 21st century.
This issue being our diminishing ability to improve our technological devices. I have been working on synthetic approaches to make molecules that have interesting redox and conductive properties for this application.
I have successfully clarified a synthetic pathway to these molecules and characterised their properties.”

In Madeline’s words,
“I have always been interested in how things work.

For my honours project, I will undertake toxicity testing of metal pollutants in a marine system. I hope that my project and the knowledge developed from it, will be beneficial in protecting our environment.”

Our CEO, Peter Sommers, and I have just returned from the Pittcon Conference which despite declining attendance numbers is still the largest of the general scientific trade exhibitions in the US.
During the conference we met with several of our existing key distribution partners and also a range of new potential supply partners as we seek to evolve our product range in response to an expanding and ever changing customer base. In the coming weeks and months you will witness a range of new products added to our existing portfolio for applications in the life science, food, environmental, industrial and clinical sections of the scientific market.
The focus on adding new novel products to simplify routine laboratory tasks is a key element of our commitment to keep you supplied with the scientific items you need to do your work. Hopefully the hot weather is behind us now and we can move into some cooler weather that Autumn offers for all concerned.
We would like to welcome two recent additions to the Adelaide team. Mark Ames joins us to work in our Purchasing/Logistics role and Katelynn McInnes will join us in the office in an Internal Sales role to provide us with much-needed respite with our workload.
As mentioned previously in our last newsletter, we are now the official distributor for the GlassChem agency in Australia. We have now received our first stocking order which includes a 4 place Volatile Acids (VA) unit, 4 place Sulfur, 2 place Sulfur and 1 VA combo unit which are all in stock at the time of writing.
Daniel recently attended a morning tea at the AHMS building in the city. Thank you to all of you who stopped by and had a chat with Daniel.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that we have a fully qualified and reliable production facility in our Perth Office. John Dwyer and I have just returned from Pittcon, one of the largest Lab Equipment Exhibitions in the USA.
We caught up with existing suppliers, whilst seeking out new and innovative products to present to our customers.
These include for example tissue culture ware from SPL, a range of cryo applicable gloves and safety gear from Cryokit and Lab coats with some unique properties from Denline.
